Don't Rush or Yank You Dog While They're On A Leash
-some begrudge others what they can’t enjoy themselves-
One of the few true pleasures the domesticated dog has is smelling the world around them, even if it’s from the end of a leash. Frankly, it is what we live for - whether stopping to smell the roses, or a hydrant or any other scented points of interest. It’s a magic carpet ride for our highly sensitive olfactory system. Other than for wardrobe purposes, I cannot, as a dog in good standing, endorse the ineffectual dog “collar” for any outdoor excursions. The only way to really go is with the “harness”. It not only provides complete and humane control of us (thereby eliminating the high probability of tracheal bruising or worse yet, a collapsed trachea ) but our center of gravity is right there where the harness fits. Whenever I’m out running errands and I see some human yanking the leash connected to one of my brothers or sisters like the rope for a bell, I just want to go home and bite my pillow! Please, take a cue from your canine and stop to smell the posies...you know you need to stop rushing through your life. So what are you waiting for? Let go. Stop. Breathe. Live. Use the time to count your blessings instead of your problems.
