Children and animals share many beautiful traits but unfortunately the more vulnerable they are the more victimized they become. They need our help - empathetic, intelligent and secure help. They need our acceptance, our understanding and our resources. The dogs here at our sanctuary have experienced real abuse and total abandonment before being rescued. The foster kids at Maryhurst have experienced much of the same violence.
